Adham Wanly

Painter

Born in Alexandria in 1908, Adham Wanly was a celebrated Egyptian artist known for his expressive and dynamic style. He trained under the esteemed Italian painter Otorino Becchi in 1932, refining his technique and artistic vision. Alongside his brother, Seif Wanly, he co-founded an atelier that became a pivotal space for artistic innovation.

Wanly’s career was marked by his participation in prestigious exhibitions both locally and internationally, earning him widespread recognition. His work is distinguished by its fluid sense of movement, a reflection of his deep fascination with the performing arts. His legacy continues to inspire and shape the Egyptian art scene.
