Effat Hosny
Effat Hosny was born on July 20, 1942. He graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in 1963.
He was a member of the Journalists’ Syndicate. member of the Syndicate of Plastic Arts, member of the El Ghoury Artists Association in Cairo Atelier Since his graduation in 1963, he has distinguished himself as an innovator and press drawing artist in several periodicals and publishing firms. He designed and drew hundreds of books in Egypt and the Arab globe.
In Egypt and the Arab World, Hosny is regarded as a vedette in the realm of children’s hook drawings.
In 1974, he was appointed artistic director of the well-known weekly magazine Al Mossawar. Later in his career, he served as an artistic consultant for the same publication. He enhanced the artistic movement with several art exhibits and press drawings, as well as designing the first book fair poster.
He died in 2021, at the age of 79, following a long battle with sickness.
