Salma El Ashry

Dr. Salma ElAshry is a distinguished Egyptian painter and assistant professor at Helwan University’s Faculty of Art Education, where she earned both her Master’s degree and PhD in Art Education. With over 30 exhibitions to her name, she has firmly established herself in Egypt’s contemporary art scene and gained international recognition.

Her work has been featured in prestigious events such as 12 editions of the Youth Salon, where she received awards in 2014, 2016, 2019, and 2020, as well as the 58th Cairo Salon. On a global scale, her art has been exhibited in South Korea, India, Turkey, Slovakia, Bangladesh, Italy, and France, earning her the Gold Medal from the Asian International Art Exchange Association in 2016.

Notable exhibitions include the Wamadat Exhibition at AUC’s Greek Campus and Mashrabia Gallery Christmas Exhibitions. Salma has also received numerous accolades, including the Artist Fahd El Hagelan Award, Tarasena First Exhibition Award 2015, and the CIB Acquisition Award.

Her expressive paintings, known for their vivid colors and intricate details, explore the deep connection between form and emotion. Her works are part of esteemed collections, including the Museum of Modern Egyptian Art and private collections worldwide.
