The extent of the closeness, despite the massive difference between her and the crows, doesn’t diminish the obvious similarities… Some phrases contradict, “Because of my appearance, I stand out or be criticized!” “By my actions and my logic, my role in society is being formed…” “Does my tongue prevent me from defending myself? Or Do I let the critic be a critique?” …and the conversations continue… Are these phrases from crows, or completely from her?

About the Artist

Sayed Abla was born in Egypt in 1990, Sayed is a talented Egyptian visual artist, he has an unmistakable style of his own that he reached from his many years of experience. Since 2007 he has worked and learned in Fayoum Art Centre, founded by artist Mohamed Abla, where he has been surrounded by artists of different disciplines from all around the world, and has exchanged experiences and learned different techniques for over 10 years. His artwork varies between printmaking and mixed media art, which he has used in his exhibitions targeting “the street” and the mix of cultures in it, reflecting his opinion, and trying to reach all social classes by displaying and portraying reality. Influenced and inspired by society in general, Sayed tackles youth’s disappointment, how people no longer have the will to work, and the widespread fear and depression amongst people.
