Amani Moussa

Painter

Amani Moussa was born in Cairo in 1991, Amani Mousa is holding a BFA from Helwan University, Graphic Department, and a one-year Diploma from ITI (information technology institute) in 2015.

Her work is influenced by Cairo’s architecture and the stories behind its buildings. The seemingly chaotic black and white prints of tower blocks, their outer walls peeled away, revealing an urban dollhouse vision of the constant flux, noise, and frenetic energy of Cairo, Amani’s work is part of private collections in Egypt, France, Qatar, Australia, Kuwait, china, and other countries.

Amani puts all the surrounding environment with her perspective in a contemporary landscape through the use of printmaking, she narrates the story of one of the oldest, most cultured, and overpopulated cities in the world, and the millions of families that call it home.
