Rateb Seddik

Rateb Seddik, a forward-thinking artist, received his education at Chelsea College of Art in London under the tutelage of English surrealist painter Robert Medley. He later continued his studies in Paris with Fernand Leger. Seddik joined the Art et Liberté group and took part in the significant exhibition “For Independent Art” at the Lyceé Francais School in Cairo on May 12, 1944. Despite being featured in major institutional exhibitions, Seddik’s work has never been available at auction before, highlighting its exceptional rarity. Consequently, this present work offers collectors the opportunity to acquire one of the finest examples from an artist whose work is rarely accessible.
