Sabah Naeem

Painter

A visual artist born in 1967, she graduated from the Faculty of Art Education in 1990. She currently works as an Assistant Professor in the Painting and Drawing Department at the Faculty of Art Education, Helwan University. Since graduation, she has participated in numerous exhibitions in Egypt and abroad.

Her most notable solo exhibitions in Egypt include those held at Townhouse Gallery, Karim Francis Gallery, and Safarkhan Gallery. Internationally, she has exhibited at Lia Gallery (Rome, Italy) and A.B. Gallery (Switzerland). Among her key group exhibitions are: the Venice Biennale (2003), Havana Biennial (2004), Africa Remix at the British Museum, Word into Art (2008), and the Alexandria Biennale (2009).

She has received numerous art grants in Egypt, the United States, and the United Kingdom, and her works are part of collections both locally and internationally.
