Dr. Amal Nasr (b. 1965, Alexandria) is a distinguished Egyptian painter, researcher, and art critic. A professor of photography at Alexandria University, she specializes in the aesthetics of composition in oriental arts. With over 17 solo exhibitions in Egypt and showcases in the U.K., Italy, France, China, and beyond, her work bridges ancient artistic influences with contemporary expression. Her dynamic portfolio spans abstraction, figurative, and impressionist styles, capturing the spirit of ancient civilizations through a unique, theatrical lens. A recipient of multiple prestigious awards, including the State Incentive Award, Nasr joined Safarkhan Gallery’s artist roster in 2021.
