Eman Barakat (b. 1988, Giza) is an Egyptian sculptor specializing in abstraction. A graduate of Helwan University’s Faculty of Art Education, she earned her master’s degree in sculpture in 2018. Barakat transforms raw materials like granite and bronze into dynamic forms, often incorporating signature animal elements—such as elephants and rats—to explore the interplay of stillness, movement, mass, and energy.
She has exhibited in major art events, including the Adam Henein Prize Exhibition (2019), Aswan International Sculpture Symposium, The General Art Exhibition, and Cairo Youth Salon (2018). Her work has also been featured at Ubuntu Art Gallery in exhibitions like Abstract Angles (2018) and Ubuntu Revisited (2017–2019).
Barakat has received multiple awards, including second prize at the Adam Henein Sculpture Award (2019), the Cairo Youth Salon Award, and the Hassan Heshmat Award (2014, 2017). Her works are part of both private and public collections, reflecting her growing impact on contemporary Egyptian sculpture.
