CIRCLES OF ZODIAC: We can look at the zodiac circle as an excellent art of the universe. It shows its beauty, in a language that has a profound impact on our cultures. Its magical symbols relate to my fascination with this zodiac world. The details appear clearly in all of my artworks. The women in this exhibition represent twelve different personalities. Despite each of them being subject to the influence of their astrological sign, they are all similar in being trapped inside circles. Some are striving to get out, while others coexisted and are enjoying this endless cycle.

About the Artist

Mai Heshmat was Born in 1979 and graduated from the Faculty of Art Education in 2001. She studied at the Academy of Art (Criticism) department, and her artworks have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions inside and outside Egypt. Mai Heshmat represented Egypt in various abroad artistic workshops in Albania, Turkey, and India. Her paintings contain ancient Egyptian and children’s faces in contemporary style and technician that stamps her artworks with a mystery on colors and characters. Her works are in the permanent collection in the museum of modern art.
