Hassan Abdel Fattah is characterized by a special stylish technique which he derives from artistic resources which rely on modern painting philosophies, and their doctrines especially the expressive, the brutal, and the abstract, in addition to the inspiration of the old & Islamic painting style in dealing with location.
Human element is so evident in his works and usually fraught with motion resulting from the vitality of lines which are free from all academic restrictions.
In some of his works, there is a composite imaginary vision which combine both of the realistic and imaginary logic of composition at one time. This is what confer surprising element to the artistic work which generate from contrasts in forming this combined vision of the surreal& metaphysical thinking, and the choice of the colors of his lines was also his method to achieve the targeted original beautiful value
About the Artist
Hassan Abdel Fattah was born in Mahallah Al-Kubra, Egypt in 1938.
He received his PhD in Fine Arts in 1984. Abdel Fattah is recognized as the first PhD degree holder in painting to be obtained by a faculty member. It is worth noting that he supervised the establishment of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Universities of Luxor and South Valley. Hassan was invited as a visiting professor at Washington DC University in the United States in 1994
