Colors engage and scatter together, like broken mirrors, they fill the faces, clothe, the sidewalks of cities, they extend to take hold of everything, even the corners of light, they blow away every strong and weak alike, yet return to be calm on faces, faces that do not know how to hide their stories, nor their passion or pity, nor their pride nor the soar of their soul,
a ripple between the humiliation of the color that denotes grinding pride, and the joy of a child longing for joy, and a silent man who steals the ball of life that swings between the edges of things with all extremes… Some faces captivate you cruelly, kneading the color on the number of their years… and some faces take you to the yellow of sun…

About the Artist
Zaeem, born in Sohag in 1977, studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Ganoub Al Wadii in 2001.
He worked as a teaching assistant at the Academy of Art and Design (the Higher Institute of Applied Arts).
He has participated in many local and international group exhibitions, in addition to his participation in many artistic events and forums, including (The Egyptian International Triennial for Graphic Art, the third and fourth sessions of 1999), the Egyptian Cultural Week in Cyprus, and the Mediterranean Biennial in Tunis.
He received first prize for graphics in the 14th session of the Youth Salon in 2002; the drawing prize from the forty-second Talaeaa Exhibition (Association of Fine Arts Lovers) in 2002; the Fine Arts Sector Prize in Painting in the Sixth Salon of Small Artworks in 2003; and the first prize in the forty-seventh Talaeaa Exhibition (Fine Arts Lovers Society) (2007).
