Born in 1954 and raised in Upper Egypt, Al Minya. This talented artist’s journey has been shaped by a deep connection to his rural surroundings. After graduating from the Faculty of Art Education at Helwan University, he embarked on a remarkable academic path, culminating in a PHD in Philosophy in Art Education from the same esteemed institution.
In 1981, he was appointed as a teaching assistant at the Department of Decorative Designs within the Faculty of Art Education at Helwan University. This role allowed him to pass on his wealth of knowledge and expertise to aspiring artists, inspiring the next generation.
His artistic prowess has been recognized both nationally and internationally, as evidenced by his participation in prestigious exhibitions across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Amsterdam, and Spain. With a multifaceted approach, his art delves into the intricacies of his rural upbringing, incorporating materials sourced from the countryside itself. Additionally, his exploration of Paranoiac mythology and studies of inscription leave an indelible mark on his pieces, echoing the influences of Islamic art.
