Osama Farid
Osama Farid was born in Giza in 1955 and worked as an agricultural engineer. He was fortunate to grow up in an artistic family and started to paint when he was 10 years old, developing into a professional at the age of twenty-four. Then he shifted his artistic path and spent many years pursuing photography.
In 2007, the artist went back to painting. Farid worked for a multinational company that allowed him to travel the world, so he brought his camera and put several photos on canvas, which he painted using a variety of art materials, including classic oil, golden sheets, and flowing acrylics. Farid is fascinated by architectural artwork, especially watercolors.
His paintings are now more abstract, realistic, urban, or flowery in style. Experimental painting is an important success factor. To improve his artistic abilities, Farid attends watercolor workshops in old cities across the Middle East and Europe. Throughout various exhibitions, Farid collected numerous honors, including the Egyptian Ministry of Arts’ first prize for photography. Second place in a watercolor competition within an international art exhibition in France. Farid used to teach art to beginners and intermediate artists in his studio
